Finding my way

So the holidays are over and everyone is starting to make their way back home. Its really sad because my cousins and family live far away from me. And with the corona virus restrictions in place ,I wont be seeing them too often.

With the end of the summer holidays comes the beginning of a new school and working year. This aspect of my life troubles me. Reason being I have been job hunting for awhile and haven't been successful.

I also have second thoughts about my career. I'm currently in the commerce field. The reason is initially I decided to study a B.com because I applied to the CAO (central applications office). The CAO handles all university applications in KZN. Unfortunately they didn't accept my application of the qualifications i hoped to pursue. Since it was a start of a new year and i didn't want it to go to waste, I decided to go with my fourth option which was a B.com.

After completing my B.com degree I realized that this career path was not ideal for me. Even though i did enjoy the psychology part of this degree ,it didn't quite match my personality. I wish I realized this earlier but everything happens for a reason.

So I took some time to sit down and think about what I really want to study and what best suits my personality. I finally decided to study nursing science. I applied to study at a nursing college in Durban and I'm awaiting a response.

I'm really excited to start studying biology again. Throughout my high school years I enjoyed life science. I also have a very kind and caring soul, which will go very well in the nursing world.

I think we all have a purpose in life and we are given this time on earth to find our true purpose.

I hope everyone is having a relaxed Friday.
