Graduation Ceremony 2023

Everyone should be recognized for their dedication and hardwork ,since our time and effort leads to your accomplishments. And recognition gives you confidence and encouragement to do better. So when I got the call from my college inviting me to a graduation ceremony I was so excited!

I did make a post about the invitation and how excited I was to attend the graduation ceremony last year but now I will describe the ceremony and the feelings that were going through my mind at that point of entering the venue to the time of walking across the stage.

As I step into my graduation venue, a array of emotions swirled within me. Excitement and pride mingle with nostalgia and a hint of sadness, as the reality of this milestone sinks in. Seeing some of my former lecturers evoke a sense of accomplishment and closure but also sadness since i wont be seeing them often. The weight of 3 years of hard work, late nights, and early mornings lifted, but was replaced by a sense of anticipation and possibility. The air was electric with the energy of fellow graduates, families, and friends, all gathered to observe this important event. As I took in the sights and sounds, a mixture of emotions – mainly joy, gratitude, and a touch of bittersweet nostalgia – came together, leaving myself feeling proud, relieved, and eager to embark on the start of my career.

As  I walked across the stage to accept my degree, I was surrounded by the applause and cheers of my loved ones, friends, and fellow graduates. This was a proud and emotional time for my parents and sibling because this was the first graduation ceremony they attended. This moment marks the conclusion of my first chapter of hard work, dedication, and perseverance.

When it was time to walk across the sage I was a nerve-wreck lol because most of you would know that I suffer from anxiety, I just took a deep breath, stood tall, and accepted the feeling of accomplishment as I walked and receive my degree. I kept reminding myself while walking off the stage to remember to smile and acknowledge the people who have supported me along the way. There was one person that played a pivotal roll during my studied but couldn't make it, was my grandma. Before leaving my home to the graduate I took many pictures with her but it didn't do much justice.

This was a celebration of your success, and I know I deserved to bask in its glory. I had many academic hurdles along the way but I got through every one of them.

I would like to point out that this wouldn't have been possible without my granny for taking so good care of me, father(who worked so hard to save for my academic fees), my mum always being there for me and my sister who always cheered me up or who made a stupid joke just to bring my hopes up.

and last but definitely not the least GOD.
